Awamaki Purse
Our 7/8th grade students had the opportunity to travel to Peru over spring break for a service project. During their time in Peru they worked with a non profit, Awamaki. Awamaki helps support Peruvian women who are weavers. The organization ensures that women are being paid fair wages for their beautiful textiles. These women are incredibly talented! The weaving process is very intricate and time consuming. This purse was hand woven by these incredible women.
